AEBL Report post Posted November 24 I don't (yet) have a leather sewing machine. I do have a "regular" sewing machine (like a cheap Singer machine a family member gave me). I'm not going to try and sew 10oz leather, but is there some really thin leather that can be sewn safely?
AlZilla Report post Posted November 24 Depending on which domestic machine you have, it might do some garment weight leather, or even pierce some heavier leather that you can then hand sew. This thread will confer a Master's Degree in Leather Sewing Machines:

I've used my Singer 15K and 99 to sew thin upholstery grade leather. Its chrome tan about 1mm thick
