okay got you - so I think a Singer 78 / CONSEW 28 could be a choice. They have no feed dog and a slotted needle plate + needle feed but it is not jump foot machine. Feet work as on triple feed machines. So just a suggestion. But parts & feet are rather hard to find.

Some older machines had their outer presserfoot moving back by the force of a spring

I kinda like the sound of this one.   I haven't seen one in person, but sounds like it could be a good model for a little modification?     The name Consew makes it sound 50 years newer!
