Kevin King Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Okay, I jazzed this one up a bit. This one is actually for a customer. Daughters initial S. Gator print cowhide, finished kidskin inlay/overlay. I also made a minor adjustment to the shape. I think its getting there. Still have a couple changes in mind.... Thanks for looking Quote

Members bcurrier Posted December 20, 2007 Members Report Posted December 20, 2007 How do you attach the top pocket across the width of the wallet? The equivalent stitch lines for the bottom pocket are hidden in the bottom edge. Quote
Members Patrice Posted December 20, 2007 Members Report Posted December 20, 2007 Neat work, as usual Quote
Contributing Member Jordan Posted December 21, 2007 Contributing Member Report Posted December 21, 2007 Very impressive, I really like the quality of the stitching on all your stuff. Guess it's time for me to practice practice and more practice! Quote
Kevin King Posted December 21, 2007 Author Report Posted December 21, 2007 How do you attach the top pocket across the width of the wallet? The equivalent stitch lines for the bottom pocket are hidden in the bottom edge. I make two wallets and sew them together. Quote
Kevin King Posted December 21, 2007 Author Report Posted December 21, 2007 Thank you all for the nice words. It really means alot to me to hear such a positive response from so many talented folks. Someone on here mentioned my "sewing expertise" but i've gotta say i'm no expert at all. I'm just a very slow stitcher. Most of the time the machine is not even on. Quote
Members Warren Posted December 21, 2007 Members Report Posted December 21, 2007 Kevin you have outdone yourself again. Just when it looks like you can't get any better, you do! Great work man. Quote
Pip Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Iam sure the answer to this is practice, how do you get such an amazingingly clean line on the edge fold? No matter how hard I try the fold always looks tatty or I end up slicing the stitches and ruining the edging d'oh. Amazing stuff, lovely use of patterned leather, do you stick in the liner with adhesive. Again probably down to experience but how do you get it so it doesnt soak through and ruin the material....? So many questions...hmmm , shame my initial is an N, S looks so good. Pip Quote
