Members DaleksInc Posted January 21 Members Report Posted January 21 I'm thinking of making my own saddle soap (both for personal use and to sell.) What are your opinions on including scents in the blend? Some recipes I have seen use scented Castile soap as the base, while others seem to avoid it. Quote
Members dikman Posted January 22 Members Report Posted January 22 I would think unscented is the way to go. Many people like a "leather smell" to their items, not scented, plus not everyone might like the scent you choose so won't buy it. My advice, keep it neutral. Quote

Members SUP Posted January 23 Members Report Posted January 23 (edited) A leather scented soap might be just the thing for all those chrome tanned leathers which smell of anything but leather. Edited January 23 by SUP Quote
