Members texasleathertools Posted March 30 Members Report Posted March 30 Hey! I'm planning to launch some 1"x1" plate stamps. I've prototyped the following designs, but I'm curious to see what designs people would be interested in? If you wanted to buy a plate stamp, what design would you want on it? Quote

Contributing Member fredk Posted March 30 Contributing Member Report Posted March 30 (edited) I would like to see more imaginative designs to compliment the 3D stamps already available. And some more modern designs, 21st century style eg. a surfer on waves, a swimming sea diver (with waving seaweeds), a sunken ship, (for the diver), a pick-up truck. On cowboy types; a (stampede) of cattle which can be repeatedly stamped along a belt, with mounted drovers placed/stamped at intervals ( I've been watching Rawhide on youtube! ) Some of your samples are already available from Tandy and Ivan For my own use I'm looking for decent Viking and Medieval style stamps I have these in a large size and will get them cut to a smaller size, probably 1 inch This is a Viking style "Eagle". The one on the left heads a line-up of the one on the right Edited March 30 by fredk Quote

I've already designed a "Veteran Made" one as well. I'll make some more along the Made in USA theme. 19 hours ago, fredk said: I would like to see more imaginative designs to compliment the 3D stamps already available. I'll keep a list of all your suggestions as I work through everything. Thank you all! Quote
AEBL Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 Waving flag made in USA? I know on eBay that there are lots of people selling "vintage" running deer 3d stamps, etc., you might try looking for things like that and reproducing a similar stamp (I'm not suggesting outright copying the design, but rather a similar "running deer", "jumping deer") perhaps just look for high-price "vintage" and fill in the market niche with a new thing, probably crisper and more detailed than the original. I copy the images and print them out A4 size, then I draw over the lines to thicken them and leave out elements that I don't want, using 'Tippex' (white-out?). When I'm happy with an art work I scan it in. I put it thru my photo editing programme to clean it up and re-size it for the stamp making. I save every stage of the cleaning up and re-sizing so I can go back to any stage Quote
