Ode to the US Military, Veterans, and POW/MIA

I have had numerous requests for military style stamps.  Here are some of them I have created.  Using 1/4" thick clear acrylic.  Works great in an Arbor press or vise.  Most of the stamps are 1.5" wide or tall.

Be careful, my friend, I don't know if this applies, but just posting the info.  https://www.defense.gov/Resources/Branding-and-Trademarks/DOD-Trademark-Licensing-Guide/

Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms.

If I never paid taxes to the govt or had 2 kids in the military, I may be more careful. They can't TM the military in my mind. It's for all of us.

I think most families have paid that price for living in the US, and could say about the same thing, I hear you, but the gubment or any company you copy and sell patterns or logos from may not feel the same way. Unfortunately or not, copyright infringement is illegal. So I felt the need to mention it as a reminder on this public forum, as so many folks can now copy and paste other people's designs and hard work to a laser printer without regard to their rights. I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong by any means, just putting out information for the good of the forum.

I didn't dive in to deep into these, but you can probably pay for the permission to use them. My state also has registered logos, it's easier and cheaper to pay for the permissions than pay the lawyers and fines, and I can sell without fear of breaking a law, no matter how I feel about it personally. In fact, I use it as a selling point. Officially licensed lol!!!!

Life is good !!! God bless you Pastor.

Once a Marine, Always a Marine.

I don't make and sell items with the emblem, but I did buy a couple embossing stamps to use as part of my maker's mark, "Brokenolmarine."  Thirty surgeries later, I earned the title, and the use of the emblem.  I give away my work, dont make money on it.  The guidelines seem more focused on those planning to use the emblem for self promotion or business use.

I think they would have a hard time telling all the military folks, "Okay, you left active duty, sorry but that tattoo belongs to the Federal Government.  This won't hurt... Much."

I mainly put it on holsters, belts, sheaths, etc that Miss Tina and I use.

The guidelines aren't clear about personal use for individual veterans, but the exchange sells a LOT of those patches and decals for our use.  A contridiction, I'd say.

Well said.  And you are correct. Should probably check into that.  Thanks for the comment!
