Members RoamingRanch Posted yesterday at 04:26 AM Members Report Posted yesterday at 04:26 AM I narrowed it down to 3 options Sailrite leatherwork consew t1919 artisan 29-172 (can’t find much info) Plan on using it for around 6oz of vegtan leather, also wondering which one would be able to do 12oz vegtan. Keeping my budget around $1000 for now, the artisan is for sale locally for around $800 usd. Quote

Keeping my budget around $1000 for now, the artisan is for sale locally for around $800 usd. The first two are portable dual feed walking foot machines that are made for sail and upholstery work. Both can do light leather sewing. The Artisan is a shoe and boot patcher. Needle system: 134-35 LR Needle size: 80 -100 Nm Max. sewing speeds: 2.800 s.p.m Max. stitch length: 8,0 mm Top feed stroke: 7,0 mm Stitch type: 301 (Lockstitch) Thread type: synth. 40/3 Clearance under the sewing foot: max. 15,0 mm it also says max 3/8'' thickens. I am not used to imperial measurements sorry, but I guess you will be better at that. The name 335 suggest it's a clone of Pfaff 335. You can find a lot of info about that here. Quote
