Some Practice Pieces

These are practice pieces for a class on learning model spoon use. These were fun and pleased how much can be done with a spoon. Fun to be doing some figure carving again it has been over a year. Been doing stamping and a little basic tooling.

Working on improving my cuts with the swivel knife. Taking a class on ways to improve. I placed the pattern wrong and left off some of the tail. This looks like a crayon drawing compared to the instructors, a challenge to meet.

Seeing our weaknesses can be our greatest strength.

Lovely work, I have yet to master doing horses.  On one occasion I can do a nice job, but other times  they are a complete  flop  no matter how many times i've done them , lol 😆
