Moderator Wizcrafts Posted Sunday at 03:48 PM Moderator Report Posted Sunday at 03:48 PM @Majorpixel Thank you very much! I have a 168 post machine. For those who don't know, it is a full compound feed walking foot machine based on the Singer 111 series. It uses the same G size (1x) bobbins as the 111 and 211 walking foot machines. It can sew up to 3/8 inch with up to #138 bonded thread. It uses standard system 135x16 and 135x17 needles. The post is about 7 inches tall and the throat plate is cut very close to the left edge. These machines are used to bulid hats and other round items that need to hang down on both sides of the machine. The stitch length adjuster is the old style knob in the back of the balance wheel. Members Majorpixel Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM Author Members Report Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM Had some trouble getting it to print, so I ran it through a text unblurrer. Might be some typos in this one. Upscaled 168w101 Manual.pdf Quote
Members Majorpixel Posted Monday at 07:55 PM Author Members Report Posted Monday at 07:55 PM (edited) @Wizcrafts I have very nearly restored my 168, but I'm having some trouble with getting the bobbin to rotate. I think I'm missing the hook drive shaft screw, but I'm not sure how/ where that slots in. I found this diagram for reference. I think I am missing 20055H (Which I am having a hard time finding a replacement for) and 264049 seems to be loose since the gears aren't meshing fully unless I press them together. Any advice or pictures you could share of your machine? Full list of parts attached as well for those interested.
