David Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Well, Here it is, the final seat for this bike. This will surely look better than that black sheridan seat Thanks for looking Dave Quote
MADMAX22 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 GJ David, really nice finally seeing a finished product of yours that isnt black lol. Bet you were happy when you got that order. Quote
Members chestercheeto Posted February 24, 2009 Members Report Posted February 24, 2009 Good work! I agree that the natural look is better than the black. Quote
David Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 Thanks for checking it out guys, The next post I make on this thread should be of the bike with the new seat and a 20" front tire in place of the 17" wide one. David Theobald Quote
David Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 (edited) Here is the final form of the Speed King Racing bike, you will note the wide 17" front tire has been replaced with a 20" wheel and tire. The final seat has been added also Dave Theobald Edited February 25, 2009 by David Quote
Members cem Posted February 25, 2009 Members Report Posted February 25, 2009 Wow thats nice, much better with the new seat really sets it off. I would love to see these types of bikes where I live but unfortunately all the bikers here are only into the stock standard boring black Harleys. Quote
Members bustedlifter Posted February 25, 2009 Members Report Posted February 25, 2009 Seat looks great Dave but I wasn't aware of any 20" wheels. Sure it's not 21"? Quote
Leather Bum Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Outstanding work as always, Dave! I would agree: it's much better than the black. Where do you get those eyelets (or are they grommets), and what size are they? Thanks very much. L'Bum Quote
David Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 I thought Jeff called it a 20; but it certainly could be a 21. I am just not sure. The eyelets are from Tandy. and come in three colors, chrome, brass and an antique brass. Thanks for checking out the seat and bike Dave Theobald Quote
Leather Bum Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Thanks for the info, Dave. L'Bum Quote
David Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks for taking a look folks, I guess it turned out ok for a quick weekend seat. Dave Quote
Mike Craw Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 David, That's a sweet looking job, and you're right - much better than the black. Did you make the custom saddle bag(s) too? Mike Quote

Mike Hey Mike, The saddle bag is indeed a veggie tanned bag, but it is a mass produced bag. That is going to be a project very soon, I want to create a line of bags to go with the seats. Thanks for checking it out. Dave Theobald Quote
