Members ta2r Posted March 9, 2009 Members Report Posted March 9, 2009 The darker one is from scratch and a first try at finger cuts, I kind of ruined it with antique. The lighter colored checkbook cover is a kit but the best darn leather I've run across, and I decided not to antique it. The design on the kit is a Chan Geer design and I butchered it a little but really enjoyed tooling it. I took some hints off of the forum about the lacing and it made a world of difference, I used 3' of lacing at a time, made several dry splices and lubed the lacing with glycerin saddle soap. Thank you to everyone for all of the information that is so abundant in this forum. Quote
