Members ArcherBen Posted March 26, 2009 Members Report Posted March 26, 2009 Here's a holster I just finished for a Springfield XD45. I'm planning on giving this to my brother for his birthday in about a month. Let me know what you think (good, bad, or indifferent). Quote
Members larrupin Posted March 27, 2009 Members Report Posted March 27, 2009 Really looks good! Did you design it yourself? Keep up the good work Larrupin' Quote
Members Bronson Posted March 27, 2009 Members Report Posted March 27, 2009 I think it looks very nice Bronson Quote
Members Tac Posted March 27, 2009 Members Report Posted March 27, 2009 Love that deep red color! Nice wet molding too! Quote
Members ArcherBen Posted March 27, 2009 Author Members Report Posted March 27, 2009 Thanks for the comments. Larrupin, this is my own design, however, I will admit that various features have been inspired by other pieces that I have seen. If I do another like this I'll make a few minor modifications. Quote
Members TomLine Posted May 13, 2009 Members Report Posted May 13, 2009 Mechanically, it looks beautiful. I have to be honest. We've been friends a long time, and I am no fashion horse, and I don't know your brother, but I think the colors are really really wierd. Quote
ArtS Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Cool design. Is the shark skin hard to work with? Is it expensive? Nicely done. Art Quote
Members ArcherBen Posted May 13, 2009 Author Members Report Posted May 13, 2009 ArtS, The sharkskin is very easy to work with. As far as cost goes, it goes for about $20 a square foot. Quote
Randyc Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Ben, Nice job on the holster. I've had an XD45 for over a year and still haven't built a holster for it. I'm kind of like the auto mechanic with the car that doesn't run or the plumber with leaky pipes. I build holsters for my customers, but sometimes don't get around to buiding one for myself. At least I now know how an XD holster should look. Randy Quote
