Members DG Leather Posted May 6, 2009 Members Report Posted May 6, 2009 Jbird....i like your wallet.... I do have a question about your bear.....inside your bevel groove around the outline of the bear is darker than the rest of the piece.....how did you get that effect..... for example: Did you put extra layers of dye or stain? (if so how did you apply it) or is it just lighting or did you slightly case it for picture? Quote
Members jbird Posted May 6, 2009 Author Members Report Posted May 6, 2009 Thank you for the input. As for the dark areas it is not lighting and it's not cased it is totaly finished in the pictures. I do all my dying with a air brush and I used a diluted mix of Brit tan for the light color and full strength around the bear and corners and letteres the use of a air brush is very handy I can darken any little spot by just lightly adding with the brush. Hope this answers the question Josh Jbird....i like your wallet....I do have a question about your bear.....inside your bevel groove around the outline of the bear is darker than the rest of the piece.....how did you get that effect..... for example: Did you put extra layers of dye or stain?
