Hi Josh,

Nice work, overall! I wonder if you could post a couple more photos that show more detail of the stitching and carving on the belt?

Very nice, Josh! clapping.gif How many spi are you using? My only cirtique would to be to use a little smaller stitch length. (I know.... more needle holes to contend with!) smile.gif

well thats a great question, when I carve mountains I want depth so I use A thicker leather on the front but to keep it at 10 oz's I use 4 oz on the back.

That is very nice Josh. your carving looks very sharp and the carved buckle is a nice touch.

Your thread title is too modest. It should say something like "prepare to get you mind blown". lol

I'm curious about the buckle, it doesn't look like it is stitched on (the bear cover).

are you just that good or is this something else?

well i guess I could go on with every new item on what I did but for all belts the key thing is to have a good lay out and a good eye for detail, wich I am still trying to hone my self.

well its both! I do a back piece and glue it on then a filler glued on the front rough side out. Then stitch the the filler and back piece together. glue on your front piece to the filler. use a good glue and there is no way it can come off . the flesh sides kind of meld into one.

looks cleaner and stays nicer.

Nice work - Anyone would be proud to wear that belt!

Thanks Deb.

I must say I am kind of shocked to see this thread after so long.
