SCOUTER Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Well, this is the wallet that I almost finished lacing... Here is the before and after dying with Fiebliing's Sprit dyes. It is for my friends father who bought a similar wallet 25 years ago and carried it every day. He wanted another "laced-up" wallet but couldn't find one. All the time I was making this I kept thinking that this will probably be the last wallet he will ever own! (He's over 75) It's funny because he said "I'll pay you for it" Let's see 2+ hours tooling, 2+ hours painting, and 2+ hours lacing add the kit cost of $22- So Charging him is out of the question but knowing that this will be his last wallet is payment enough... Man, I would go broke as a full time leatherworker! Quote
