MADMAX22 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Great job Luke, looks good as is. That stitching looks great too, what thread did you use, it allmost looks like a thick hemp. The way its stitched makes it look like a miniature rope laid on there. Quote

MADMAX22 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Wrong size or not it gives a very interesting look/effect to the stitch. Quote
Contributing Member UKRay Posted October 31, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted October 31, 2009 Lovely job, as always, cousin. Have you got a canteen shaped wooden mould you stretch the leather over or do you work directly onto the liner? Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted October 31, 2009 Author Ambassador Report Posted October 31, 2009 hello cousin............yes i do have a mould that i shape the two sides to. if i shaped the leather to the canteen it would have a tendency to colaps on me. so the moulded leather works best........ Members Colter Posted November 1, 2009 Members Report Posted November 1, 2009 Very nice stitching on that, to make the thread turn that way,did you use the Four-pronged angled buckstitch chisel,or something different? Quote
