Hi,

I'm new here and interested in horse related projects and repair.

I have lots of experience in making necessary repairs on tack and saddles, restitching and refleecing saddle etc., and the odd project made out of necessity. I'm especially interested now in making saddle bags and a covered canteen.

Also working out some details on a pair or 2 of chinks or armitas.

I've never made a new project from scratch but I'd like to.

I'm very impressed with the skill I see here and have already met a few members.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Cowgirlrae. I'm sure you will soon find your way around and meet lots of people. Check out Luke's 18th century style leather covered canteens for some ideas on how to do the job. He might even give you some hints himself!

i think you will find this place a gold mine of info.

Riding is a partnership. The horse lends you his strength, speed and grace, which are greater then yours. For your part you give him your guidance, intelligence and understanding, which are greater then his. Togeather you can achieve a richness that alone neither can.

Well Hello there, and welcome to the site. This is a great little community of leatherworkers that are for the most part more than willing to share any way that we can. Feel free to ask and you will get lots of responses.
