Indiana Jones theme satchel

Recommended Posts

Here is my latest work of a Indiana Jones theme satchel for office and college use. It's a roomy bag for everything needed, you can put in a laptop aswell as books and sheets etc.

The front pocket features the headpiece of the staff of ra in the scene where the sunlight is just about to enter the red stone in the center which then guides the entrance to the well of souls. I wanted not just to do the headpiece on leather but also let come the scene to live on a practical piece of leather for dealy use

Hey, that's awesome!! Love the ruby eye on the bird! Beautiful color, and I love the way you integrated the whip into the handle. Very neat!

That is so epic!!! So creative and it just fits perfectly... The whip touches are fabulous. ;) I like how the strap comes down under the bottom like the staff, too.. that's fantastic!!!

thank you all for your kind comment :)

Although if I would get a order for such a bag I still would need to make some improvements (it should be a bit shorterand the gusset pieces where one hole too short) I'm very proud of the bag myself! I like the optic of the whole bag, but the carving and its collouring came out as one of my very best so far.

Makes me want to make another one right now :showoff:

Where are the pockets for the snake bite kit and .45 ACP half moon clips? Great idea and execution, well done.

Pleaseeeeee! Indy uses a 45 Cal. Long Colt in a large frame revolver(You know how careful he is) :head_hurts_kr: And the only snake bite kit, back in the day was a sharp knife and a lot of lip suction! LOL! Also depending on the location of the bite a reallllllly gooooood friend!

I LOVE those old fixed sight N frames... In the thirtys you could get surplus 1917s for a song. Or Indy might've brought one back from the great war.

I love them too. Own a vintage Colt revolver from the era(38 Cal.) Did some research and found the Indy's revolver is a one of a kind. A 1917 Smith and Wesson with a 4" barrell and chambered for 45 ACP(My mistake not Long Colt) which has all the original serial numbers matched. Resides in the Stembridge Prop House here in Hollywood. But you could use a side pouch for the 45Cal. half moon clips used to feed this beauty. HA!

Quite a few of those have almost followed me home... Including a nice .455 new service. Don't want to be hijacking INDY's thunder, this just really got some nuerons firing tho. I highly reccomend reading up on Roy Chapman Andrews, if'in your a fan of Dr. Jone's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Chapman_Andrews.
