shehog Report post Posted January 5, 2010 Hi, Does anyone have an old Tandy pattern for a ladies contour belt called "The Empress". I think it dates from the late 50's or early 60's thanks. Lezli
King's X Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Does it come to a point in the middle? Maybe. Happy New Year!
shehog Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Does it come to a point in the middle? Maybe. Happy New Year! Hi King's X, Happy New Year to you as well. It doesn't come to a sharp point in the front, but it is lower in the front with a gentle curving contour and it buckles in the front. I saw it in an old Tandy catalog that someone is selling on ebay, hopefullly this link will work.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Tandy-Leather-catalogs-lot-Patterns-for-tooling_W0QQitemZ400083349498QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d26d36ffa Thanks. Johanna Report post Posted January 6, 2010 If I can't find the pattern, I'll trace you the back part of my belt. It's just a piece of leather attached to two skinny straps to buckle in the front. I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone wanted to know how I got it in the loops. LOL Johanna

King's X Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Let me check to see if that is the same pattern.
dirtclod Report post Posted January 6, 2010 After looking at the pattern on ebay why don't you make a pattern it looks pretty simple to do. Measure your waist. Get the size buckle you want to use. Take a piece of poster board and draw it out at the widest width and then taper it down to where it fits the buckle on both ends. Then put what ever style of design you want on it. ClayB Report post Posted January 8, 2010 If you are close to a Tandy store, you could check out the book Belts Galore by Al Stohlman. Near the back of the book he has patterns for a few different contour belts. Maybe one of them is close to what you are wanting.

If you want to sell your patterns or craftaids, please post them in the Marketplace forum https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/72-bookspatternsperiodicalsvideos/
