wildrose Report post Posted January 26, 2010 I saw on Facebook that some people were making trading cards out of leather. They were being passed around and now I can't for the life of me find any pics of them. We want to do them for our next Pay It Forward here, but would like to see some examples. So if you are either making them or have some from another leatherworker, please post pics!

Storm Report post Posted January 27, 2010 I think that the idea of trading cards is a cool idea to communicate and get to know people. Kind of like years ago when HAM radio operators used to send out their 5x7 card and people would put them on the wall near their shortwave radios. I am thinking about 3x5 or 5x7. That would give enough space to work on and create. Storm
TTcustom Report post Posted January 27, 2010 If they are made postcard size then we can mail them. Oh wait I suppose the stamp wouldn't stick!
wildrose Report post Posted January 27, 2010 They are actually quite small. I was really hoping to track down the ones I'd seen on Facebook, since I was pretty sure that person is on this site too. Anyhow, go to "All about us and off topic" and look under the "Pay it Forward?" topic for the rest of the info.
pete Report post Posted January 27, 2010 just a thought- how about we all make 4x4" coasters with our maker stamps somewhere on it. That way we can get creative AND trade stamps. Plus we will have a practical item to put on the desk pete

wildrose Report post Posted January 28, 2010 I like the coaster idea too, for the next round (no pun intended!) This is a link that was posted on the Pay It Forward topic to show what we mean about artist trading cards: http://tandyleather.wordpress.com/atc-gallery/ PLEASE, since this answers the question as to what they are, if you want to talk about Pay It Forward, do it under that topic. THANKS!!!
