Members MHolzer Posted April 7, 2008 Members Report Posted April 7, 2008 Since there seems to be at least a dozen mask makers here, I thought I'd ask what you use to mould your masks on? Quote
Members TomBanwell Posted April 7, 2008 Members Report Posted April 7, 2008 I use plaster forms (Commedia del arte) or nothing at all (Bulldog), relying on the pattern for the shape. Quote
Drac Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I use a form that I made from the casing that a halloween mask came in. the casing was the same as the mask so I poured resin into it. Quote
Members Leerwerker Posted April 7, 2008 Members Report Posted April 7, 2008 I attended a class by Alex Ortega, and after we cast our own faces, we made our final molds from something called "Densite" (spelling unknown). Very very hard dense plaster that takes the repeated brass hammer blows to shape the mask. Quote
