GrampaJoel Report post Posted February 20, 2010 Here's a insulated bottle canteen for horse back riding. I hand stitched the whole thing. The insulated leather holder holds a 44oz stainless steel canteen. Attaches on a saddle at two points. One at the saddle horn and the second attachment is at the latago/cinch strap carriers. Johnny B Report post Posted February 21, 2010 I like this very much. What did you use for the liner? Is this something like a thermos bottle or just a plain bottle?

GrampaJoel Report post Posted February 22, 2010 Thanks Johnny B.,UKRay, and Storm. The canteen I used is this one(only in stainless, not colored). It's like a sports bottle you would take with you when working out or doing an outdoors activity. The insulation I used is from an exercise mat I bought at a Target store. (someone suggested it here on this site.) The mat is cut to size, and works well. It keeps liquids hot or cold for a long time and it is only about 1/2" in thickness. It's all hand sewn. My machine wouldn't work for this type of a project.
