Thanks to Ed (Bearman) for sharing this pattern a while back. Ive made two of these so far for people at work and they really like them. These are freebies that people get everyonce in a wile.

First time trying this stamping type. It was a little difficult but no worse then basketweave stamping just this darn crafttool is not exactly even. I only lost the correct orientation 2 or 3 times but could tell right away.

5oz lined with pig, dyed tan and antique with dark brown. Sealed and polished.

You did a nice job with the stamping. I recently tried this stamp on some scrap, and found out I had to mark the stamp to get it to line up. You can really tell if you turn it 90 deg's with the Tandy stamp. Color looks nice also. Is the rivet for show or strength?

Thanks guys, Charlie the rivet is primarily for show but when using it if you squeeze the case a tad to open it up right there in the corner where the stitching starts joining the two pieces is where it stresses at so I figured it couldn't hurt to have a little reinforcement.

I like it. Nice work! What weight leather did you use?

Thanks Josh and Bill.

Bill the body is roughly 5oz and it is lined with some of that nicer pig skinning lining leather (the smooth subtle stuff),
