I have a pretty expensive leather sofa that my dog decided to nap on and make a jagged tear about 7" long.

Has anyone done a repair for something like this? I don't want it to look ghetto and don't have another $2000

for a new couch.

Made it larger and lace in a custom design? Don't forget to do a matching one on the other side so they match. yes.gif

Im sure someone like springfeild leather or such could find you some upholstery leather that would come close if not match dead on with that leather. You could theoretically replace the leather on that cushion or section.

Unless you want to get really carried away...

Pull the cover back and glue a patch on the back with good/high end contact cement. Gently glue and close the cut, then cover the back with a patch a few inches larger on all sides.

The proper way will be to replace the damaged panel. I doubt you will ever match the leather.
