Members buffalobill plus Ed D Posted October 23, 2010 Members Report Posted October 23, 2010 I actually got the cobra skin few days ago to use it as inlay for some of my dog collars...same day i was asked by a buddy of mine if i can make him a belt...something "exotic"..lol...so here it is...1.5in wide , cobra skin on a 9oz strap, antique brass buckle and belt keepers...I might actually substitute the brass belt keppers with a leather one... All comments would be apreciated..critiques are more then wellcome Thank you !!! Quote
MADMAX22 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Great looking belt Ed. The colors go together very well. Your edges look very good as well. I have a question. I cant see the stitch line on the cobra portion, was wondering how you attached it. Over all looks very professional. I think personally and I say this humbly, that a silver or stainless belt buckle would look really good with the cobra, that or a brushed stainless look. Either way it looks great. Quote

The cobra is not stitched..just glued....I tried it before to see how strong the bond will be and it looks like the cobra won't go anywhere..lol....The only reason i choose brass is because of the brown in the belt...I always use brass on brown and Stainless on black...once in a while brass on black but never stainless on brown...However the buckle can be changed anytime because i used snaps. Thanks for the comment !!! Quote
