Jazznow Report post Posted December 13, 2010 camera cases you'll find in vol. 2 of Making Leather Cases by stohlman. Did't try them for myself until now. But it's on my to do list. Do you know it, when the ideas in youre heaad are in the rabbit mode, which means, they reproduce as fast as rabbits? :D Many Greetings from Germany, Jazznow
sheridanman Report post Posted December 13, 2010 just curious as i look at the pic and i cant figure out how he stitche the sides it seems that the stitches doesnt go thru the sides from the front panel. maybe its inside? i am looking based on the pic and i cant see any stitches showing at all on the side panels. the case looks great give it a go. i have the stohlman books on cases and stitching luke was suggesting its a great book and you get to make one project and if you analyze the techniques on a certain [roject it applies to all projects in the future. great way to earn fundamentals in making cases and stitching. you learn something and next time without the book you can apply teh ways to do them and make your own. get the book jazznow and give the camera case a go. would love to see you post it here. goodluck! terrymac Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Looks like the front, back, and flap are all one piece with gussets sewn in the side. I think the gusset is bowing out just enough to hide the stitches in the picture. Really don't think it will be all that hard to make. Terry
