Gawdzilla Report post Posted March 8, 2011 I can see a niche market for steam punk leather vests here.
radar67 Report post Posted March 9, 2011 Gawdzilla, the vests, vambraces (cowboy cuffs), hats, and wrist bands are the main items sold at most of the conventions I have attended.

I'll have to see what the community is like in St. Louis. Thanks, all! BTW, was "Golden Compass" a steam punk movie?
Spinner Report post Posted March 10, 2011 Cool. I'll have to see what the community is like in St. Louis. Thanks, all! BTW, was "Golden Compass" a steam punk movie? Very much so. Some excellent examples of goods and gear in that movie. Although, I don't recall that Steam was the major power source, but the means of transport, etc. definitely are in the realm. PANTHER Report post Posted March 17, 2011 This is my contribution to the steampunk style, my laptop case. It's a lot of fun and have a few things in the works in that style with my leather. PANTHER
TN leather Report post Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) I do not know much about it but there is some great creative art that has come from it. I think the game Bio shock had a steam punk influance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BioShock Edited November 4, 2011 by TN leather
BWL Report post Posted November 4, 2011 Love the music, thanks:specool: I've toyed with the idea but fortunately/unfortunately I've been too busy with motorcycle leathers to give it a spin. If you're looking for some music to inspire Steampunk images check out The Cog is Dead. One of my favorites in the genre. http://old.thesixtyo...m/thecogisdead/
Menolly Report post Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) I really like steampunk because I am a big sci fi fan. I have a section in my Etsy shop devoted to steampunk. I made my very first steampunk hat from a pattern by Tom Banwell. Of course, he is the premier steampunk hat maker IMHO. Here are a few of the things that I have made...
