Members steve mason Posted March 17, 2011 Members Report Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) Howdy; I have a question for you machine experts if you don't mind. I am wondering the differance between the pfaff 145, 545, 1245. As far as I understand the 1245 is a newer model of the 545 with some minor changes to the bobbin winder, not sure about the 145, is it the same as the 545 but with a smaller bobbin? Are all three machines high lift with the 190 needle system? thanks much steve Edited March 17, 2011 by steve mason Quote
Moderator Art Posted March 17, 2011 Moderator Report Posted March 17, 2011 Hi Steve, Not sure on your question. Clarifying, if the machine is a H3, it uses a 134-35, but if it is a H4 (high lift) it uses the 190. 190 is a little longer than the 134-35. Timing however is the same. Members steveh Posted March 19, 2011 Members Report Posted March 19, 2011 The 545 is gear driven internally, the 1245 is driven internally by a belt. steve Quote
Members leatherdog Posted May 12, 2011 Members Report Posted May 12, 2011 the 145 is very similar to the 545, but is older, and uses a smaller bobbin. most of the parts are interchangable. the 1245 is the newer version of the 545. on any of these machines you can set the needle bar height for either the 134-35 needles, or the 190.
