AndyL1 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Hey gang, A recent customer needed a belt for his kilt. I obliged! ;-) Details: 2' wide, five conchos with eyelets in between. Eco-Flo Java brown with an antique finish. A few coats of Tan Kote followed up with some Atom Wax. He had his own buckle so I put snaps on it so he can swap in any buckle. This came out really nice! Off in the mail tomorrow. Cheers, Andy Edited April 22, 2011 by AndyL1 Quote

Members Gabriel Rasa Posted April 15, 2012 Members Report Posted April 15, 2012 Jumping in way late, buuuut.... I agree with the above posters, this looks great. I'm really curious about that striated look, how it almost looks like wood. How'd you get the dye to do that? Thinned it out, and then layered up in streaks? o_O Quote

I used a semi-damp sponge to apply the dye so it went on a little darker in some places than others. Plus the antiquing after helps darken some spots. I think it looks aged a bit. Cheers, Andy Quote
Members druid Posted April 23, 2012 Members Report Posted April 23, 2012 That's a good looking belt. Anyone would be proud to wear it on their Tartan. Quote
