Elton Joorisity Report post Posted August 10, 2011 Hey everyone...I haven't posted much in a while...been too busy to sit still...anyways I thought I'd share one of my latest projects. My better half is a mounted shooter and I had the pleasure of making her a new set of holsters. I think I'm hooked on building them...without further adieux... BondoBobCustomSaddles Report post Posted August 11, 2011 Nice work Elton, first class for sure. I might be a little hesitant about what I said to my wife and how, if she was sportin' a pair of 45's though. Those holsters will get you some business for sure. Elton Joorisity Report post Posted August 13, 2011 Bob...as long as I'm 20 plus feet away I'll be safe LOL...otherwise I think I could handle the blackpowder burns if I deserved it

mmirob Report post Posted August 16, 2011 Hey everyone...I haven't posted much in a while...been too busy to sit still...anyways I thought I'd share one of my latest projects. My better half is a mounted shooter and I had the pleasure of making her a new set of holsters. I think I'm hooked on building them...without further adieux... So nice! Do you sew a small piece of leather inside the holsters to "catch" the front site post to help keep the pistol from bouncing out? Are both holsters cut at the same cross draw angle? I am getting ready to make my first set...any tips or advice?
Elton Joorisity Report post Posted August 16, 2011 (edited) Hey thanks Mark...you bet you can take a look at both sets when you come down. I would not put a sight brake in them...I mold them pretty snug and we can put a Ruger Vaquero in each holster, hang them upside down and shake the snot out of them and it takes a lot of shaking to get them to come out. That being said...with them being molded the way they are, they are still easy enough to draw in a hurry...Kelsey pulled checks in all three stages at her last shoot with them...so I know that they are doing the job. And, yes they are both cut at the same angle. I offer 4 different angles to suit each customer's taste and preference. Hope that helped Edited August 16, 2011 by Elton Joorisity
