leathercat Report post Posted June 15, 2008 My mum taught me how to make a braided and wrapped bracelet. I did the wrapping and braiding, mum cut out the shape and did the snap. The braiding was hard as the lacing kept getting twisted. The one on the right is mine, the others are mums.

rcsaddles Report post Posted June 15, 2008 Very nice. Keep up the good work and you will go far. What did you use for the inside of the bracelet? I've heard of using copper. Is the lace roo hide? My son would love to do something like that so I am trying to get more information. If you have a chance, get the Ron Edwards book More Bush Leatherwork. He gives instructions for a bracelet called Annette's Braid. It may also be in a smaller book by Rod called Plaiting Projects 3. I think you would like that one. Keep up the good work. UKRay Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Leathercat, you inspired me to try making one of these bracelets this afternoon. I watched the video - thanks Leatheroo - but still managed to tie my fingers together and run out of lace at all the wrong moments. Keep up the great work, you put me to shame!
