raysouth Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Anyone have a Weaver Hand Clicker? Wondering how well they function. In addition, if anyone has one for sale, I would be interested. Have a number of small dies that I would like to use and have used 1 ton arbor press but difficult to use, for me. I am loaded with physical impairments and need something that would give me some leverage. Would appreciate any info or other ideas. Ray Quote
Contributing Member Ferg Posted March 12, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted March 12, 2012 Ray, You might want to check Harbor Freight for their press with the hydraulic jack. It would give you more surface and pressure. May also help with the impairments you have. ferg Anyone have a Weaver Hand Clicker? Wondering how well they function. King's X Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I see it at the annual show I attend and have played with it every time. I just cannot justify the cost though I would like a small one. I agree that the Habor Freight conversion would work out well at such a reduce cost. I have a friend that has one and it works good for him. Either way, the Weaver one looks like it would work well too. It is smaller than any seal press you convert. Good luck Quote

Members amuckart Posted March 13, 2012 Members Report Posted March 13, 2012 Is the Weaver clicker a copy of the Lucris MA Series III manual clicker that's made in Australia, or is it a fundamentally different unit? Quote
King's X Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 I was involved in a thread between friends in Germany and Argentina on Facebook.. This issue came up and it would appear to be different models. I was surprised to hear that the Lucris is $1,500 usd. I have seen the Weaver model for about $900 (if I remember correctly) at a leather show last year. Still too much for me.....might have to stick with a press conversion. Good luck! Quote
