mlapaglia Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 I need to find a supplier for 45 cal . pistol dummy bullets for a costume? Any ideas where I can get a dozen? If you know someone who reloads see if they can make you some. All you need is the case and the bullet. Of course they need to reload 45s to start with. Might be the easiest way to get them. A lot cheaper than the costume ones. Quote
Members TacticallySharp Posted June 19, 2012 Members Report Posted June 19, 2012 If you do not know a reloader then go to a gun shop and ask for them. The web has several places that sell them. One example, http://www.pistoleer.com/azoom/ shop around for pricing and look at the pictures till you find what you like. There are many different styles. Quote

You did not state if you were looking for .45 acp or 45 long colt. Check out these sites. Also some dummy bullets are made to approx size and are for holster display only and may not fit in to a weapon. http://www.amazon.com/Colt-45-Replica-Bullets-Cartridge/dp/B004NT8C4A http://www.amazon.com/Colt-45-Replica-Bullets-Cartridge/dp/B004NT8C4A Denix replicas make the also scroll down the page http://www.discountcutlery.net/en-us/dept_21202.html ,I think they only have for 45 long colt. I have also seen them on ebay and amazon.com Hope this helps. Scott Edited June 19, 2012 by camano ridge Quote
bison Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 I had my gunsmith set me up with about 30 .45's that had no powder AND a small hole drilled in the brass so they couldn't hold powder or pop the lead from simple concussion. I also had him remove the firing pin from the gun so there was no possibility of anything firing. I've worn the rig to dozens of public events, and it's always been a big hit as part of my Teddy Roosevelt costume. Quote
Members Shooter McGavin Posted June 20, 2012 Members Report Posted June 20, 2012 I can make them for you for a minimal charge. Shoot me a PM or something to get the ball rolling. Thanks! Dan Quote
