Having alot of fun checking out people's projects, lately. I am in the middle of remodeling my basement this summer, so not a lot of time to start leatherworking!

I was checking out this project and was impressed with the work area.

So please show off your shop/work area's in this thread. Thanks! It may give me some ideas for my work area.

My workshop is in my formal dining room. My wife won't let me let it get to out of control. One question I have about stropping. I use a leather wheel on the side of my wet stone sharpener. Three revolutions on each side and the blade is back where it should be. Effortless stropping for me. Does anybody else use one of these stropping wheels?

The one tool I'm looking forward to getting is a Bell Skiver. I skive everything by hand and it really looks like crap because it is not smooth enough.

I need lots of tools that would make things faster.

Thanks Tim

G'Day Ronin101,

This is an interesting thread. I am one of the lucky leatherworkers who now has a dedicated work area. When i was in the Navy and we were living in rented accommodation, it was a case of having to make do with a portable work station . When i retired i converted a garage and carport to my 'man cave'. I have a reverse cycle air conditioner, a flat screen TV with Foxtel, A Jason Reclining chair and a iMac connected to the Internet. I have attached a number of images and am glad to be of assistance if you need details on anything.post-16263-052478900 1341653057_thumb.jppost-16263-044332300 1341653069_thumb.jppost-16263-009648200 1341653067_thumb.jppost-16263-074410400 1341653064_thumb.jppost-16263-062047200 1341653062_thumb.jppost-16263-024537600 1341653060_thumb.jp[quote name

Hi there Mojoewrkn,

Started out as a hobby 50 years ago, became a business, now back to a hobby. I still do the odd commission. Check out my profile and website.

Thanks for the comments.
