Special Order Avengers W/ Bling

Recommended Posts

Was asked by a local gun shop owner I do business with to make two CC holsters. One for her to wear in her shop and the other for her friend who is a LEO. Both are for the Springfield M1911A1.

There are some things I found that had to be done differently, like where everything would end up after forming, or building up the leather behind the reinforcement to accommodate the length of post on the conchos.

Not my cup O' tea but already have another order for one of the salespeople with a silver dollar embedded in the throat.

Now if I can just figure out how to do the silver dollar.

Those are 2 really great looking rigs! I'm not a huge fan of black leather holsters but those look great. Don't know that I could get away with carrying something with the "bling", but those do look good. Make sure to post pics of the silver dollar rig when finished I would really like to see it.

I like these!

I've made "bezels" for cabs in my leather with a deep crease line and an angle to my swivel knife. You might try it.

I'm not so sure if the face of a holster would be firmly flat enough for that tho.

But I'm curious about your belt slot. Is it all gong on at the back?

Thanks for the share,

Paul

Thanks, and once I get it done I'll post the pic.

Thanks, I'll more than likely take out leather behind the silver dollar so it looks like it lays flat. Not sure how the stitching order is going to come out, but that's what prototypes are for.

Here's a pic of the loops in the back. post-18937-013709900 1341847565_thumb.jp

You can get the correct size bezles for most US coins at Standard Rivet. I ordre a lot from them. Everythingthey sell is MADE in the USA if that helps you decide. Mom and Pop shop with high quality products at very decent prices.

Very nice open carry rigs, I'm more of a "function over form" holster guy, but If I worked at a gun shop I might like a "tricked out" holster. Think of it this way...free advertising. A lot of people are going to see that holster and question where the wearer got it. Maybe they would let you put some business card on the counter or bulletin board?
