Members singteck Posted August 6, 2008 Members Report Posted August 6, 2008 A pouch for your keys :D Made this one to try out the new hardware I've bought and also the two part rivets. Works really well. First time I am using steel hardware in my leather product. Given the choice, I would still prefer brass but they don't make these things in brass or at least, I have not found them yet. Used rare earth magnets again on this one because I don't have nickel plated press studs. At least now it can be used as a fridge magnet :D singteck Quote

Members craftsman827 Posted August 6, 2008 Members Report Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) VERY NICE WORK ! !! How do the magnets hold ? I purchased some from OTB, but I havn't used them yet. Your key case looks very classey. Something you might find in Bloomingdales. VERY NICELY DONE . PS: The colors go great together, black & yellowish color Edited August 6, 2008 by craftsman827 Quote
ETW Grumpy Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Very clean lines. What kind of leather is that? Quote
Members singteck Posted August 6, 2008 Author Members Report Posted August 6, 2008 Thank you! How do the magnets hold ? The magnets works great. There's no stress on the magnets and they adjust to the thickness of the content unlike press studs. What kind of leather is that? The black leather is calf leather and the yellow is called lining leather. Both chrome tanned. Cheers singteck Quote

Bree Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Do you have two rare earth magnets in there? Or one magnet with a round piece of steel for it to attract to? I like where you backtacked the stitching. That is probably the one spot where it would be least visible. Good job. Quote
Members KendallAA Posted August 21, 2008 Members Report Posted August 21, 2008 Where did you get the key hook hardware? I did not see it on Tandy's website. Thanks btw Nice Work? Brian Quote
