Singer 251-13 Or 241-12 For Holster Leather?

I have access to either of these machines for around $300 in fully operational condition.

Can I use either of these machines for holster making using 7 to 8 oz leather? This is assuming I will be sewing 2- 7 to 8 oz pieces together.

No way will either one of these machines that were made to sew shirts,dresses @ high speed & other lightweight stuff will sew holsters with the size of thread you need to use.

You need a walking foot machine with a 3/8" sewing capacity to sew 2 layers of 7-8oz leather.
