OdinUK Report post Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Here is my 2nd guitar strap (first tooled one) for the London based band Stuka Squadron. The letters are GD Cox (for Gravedigger Cox). Hope he likes it! Still trying to get the hang of taking photos of straps. Edited October 12, 2012 by OdinUK
The Sugar Lady Report post Posted October 12, 2012 That came out VERY NICE!! Love the font style of the letters, especially the 'O'. Makes me want to make that guitar strap my brother's been asking me for...his birthday is coming up next month....
OdinUK Report post Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Thanks:) Its a free font called Gutteral. If you search for it you may find it or I could send it to you if you like it. I printed it out onto film to use as a pattern. I forgot to say, It's a fixed length strap, the ends are loosely based on a tamplate I found on here somewhere but I cant remember who posted it (sorry). I made the taper a little longer and used a slightly different radius for the ends. Edited October 12, 2012 by OdinUK

Horrrk Report post Posted October 12, 2012 Odin.. Outstanding work mate.. I remember being as impressed with your ManOWar jacket patch too.. Very crisp cuts and stamping..so eyecatching.. Is that acrylics you're using for the red colour? Regards Phil
OdinUK Report post Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks All. I just used Fiebings Oil dyes for the black and red, no acrylics on this one. To get the dapth, I cut quite deep, bevel, background and then the important step is to gently re-bevel around the letters to make them stand out more.
