It's a nice snug fit so when you remove the chap stick the other end of the stick stays in the case.

When I get a minute I'll mold a couple of the outer cases and send them to you to play with.

How did you mold it?

Which thickness is the leather?

The leather is 5 oz.

The mold itself is made from cedar wood and a router bit was used to make the channel in which the leather is pressed into.

I can use one piece of leather and cut two separate cases from each one.

The leather is soaked in water, worked into the mold then a plastic plug is placed on top of the leather.

A plywood top sits on top of the mold block and is pressed down using a shop press.

It takes about five minutes to set it up and press it.

I've made different sizes for different projects, here's another for a screw driver bit case.
