Members Zacharyc Posted November 10, 2012 Members Report Posted November 10, 2012 I am looking for a green dye. Not a hunter green or an emerald green. I want an army green. Anyone found anything like this? Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted November 10, 2012 Moderator Report Posted November 10, 2012 No, you'll have to spend some time mixing dye to get that color. You might look at angelus dyes as they have more colors, but OD green is not available as far as I know. Quote Learnleather.com
Members Zacharyc Posted November 10, 2012 Author Members Report Posted November 10, 2012 Ill check them out. It says you can dye gourds with them. So if it doesn't work I can just dye my gourds.... Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted November 10, 2012 Moderator Report Posted November 10, 2012 They are a shoe dye predominantly, but lots of us use their products. Quote Learnleather.com
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted November 10, 2012 Contributing Member Report Posted November 10, 2012 How do you feel about chemistry? I've made close to that color, but I'd call it more of a "linda blair green" than OD....just mix up a batch of vinegaroon and leave a dauber handle in it....well, any zinc plated metal will do, really.
