anne newkold Report post Posted August 12, 2008 Many of you might not have known but I know that some of you did so I wanted to Thank You all who kept my daughter in your thoughts and prayers! She just called a bit ago and although her cancer is in an aggressive state they think they can try to freeze it and hope that it will kill all the cancer clusters. She will have to go back for more test after wards to make sure, but what a blessing this is that hopefully this will take care of it and it was not worse especially for some one who is only 19 and has her whole life ahead of her. Thank you for your thoughts and prayer. May God Bless each of you! Anne

TroyS Report post Posted August 13, 2008 Anne, I didn't know about your daughters condition and will hold her in our hearts and prayers. With modern medicine and the technology we have today, she will be in good hands! My younger brother had cancer when he was very young (8 years old) and lived at St Jude's Hospital in Memphis for over a year. The Dr.'s didn't hold much hope for my brother. Said he was too young, too small and frail. That was 30 years ago and my brother and I still laugh about it. Yes, he made it thru just fine, and with a little luck, lots of prayers and a strong will to live, very good things happen. God Bless you & your family in this time of need and our Prayers are with you! If you need a shoulder to talk to, don't hesitate! Mine is here for you and any other of your family members! freak Report post Posted August 16, 2008 I don't know you or your daughter but i'm very sorry to hear of this. I wouldn't wish it on anyone of any age. Cancer knows no age, gender or race. When you say they are going to freeze it, what are we talking about here. Are they going to place her on "taxotere" ? It paralyzes the cells and stops it's rapid mass reproduction which will then in most cases. then make the cancer cell die. Either way i wish all the best for her and for the rest of your family. My family will pray for your family. Please keep up posted .
