Idetify This Sewing Machine

Need id on this machine, it might be german, Claes, Durkopp or Kochs Adler i dont know. Most important which needle system, i only got one needle ant it aint sharp. The needle is 2,2 mm thick and 79 mm long. Jesper

I would guess this machine was made in the late 1800s. I would contact cobra steve with measurements on the needles see if he can match one for you.

Sure is an interesting machine. Noticed you are in denmark so I guess it is of european origin? The needle is quite large 3 1/4 inches long as well as the bobbin case.The gearing is unique, with 3 dfferent size sheaves.The spool holder is interesting and I guess that is a wax pot? Hard to believe the ther are no makers marks on it . one would think there would be patent dates or part numbers all over it.? Hope some will be able to ID it.

I guess it is a Kochs Adler old class 20, although I have seen this model with other names too. The needle system is difficult when you have no class number. The later Adler class 20 used system 794 (69 mm long) and system 1000 for the the high lift subclass (I do not know how long it is, however, longer than the 794). As far as I know the system 1000 is the longest needle available today, (without special orders) I would ask Schmetz at SCHMETZneedles.com. Take pictures of both sides of the needle in high resolution and measure it accurately or send them the needle. I just measured a 1000H needle & they are 79mm

Thank you for the answers. Kochs Adler class 3 or a copy of it is the mols likely answer.

It is almost like it is made at a secret factory hidden in the mountains just to annoy us.

The machine has been paintet at some time, i have examined it in different angels of lighting and i cant see any name.

The machine no is 1644, all parts has no 292.

The needle is a Lammertz, has no 7 which i think is the size of the needle. Jesper

Thank you sewmun, it seems there is still hope for me and my sewing machine. Now i just have to get some needles.
