I use a lot of Garment Lambskin, I buy most of it at Tandy actually. There is another place here in Calgary that also sells it, but they don't always have a good selection.

How is Tandys selections of lambskin? We're you satisfied for the most part with their hides? Also do they offer whole hides do you know?

I also found a place called WaterHouse Leather is anyone familiar with that supplier and have any feedback?

I've never had a problem with Tandy's lambskin hides, as I shop in person I can pick and choose which ones I want. As far as I know they are full hides, always about 7 to 9 sq. ft. The selection varies from each time I go, sometimes there is oodles of different colors, other times just a few, most likely from not going before others get there.

I have bought several very nice (and fairly big) garment lambskins from Hidehouse in CA.

Thanks for the help. There's actually a Tandy Leather in Baltimore I might go check it out. I'm looking for a little larger quantities though. Somewhere in the 50-75sq at a time range. Hopefully their stock is enough of what I need.

Still wondering about italian suppliers if anyone has used or dealt with or know the name of a decent one, it would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Sav-Mor Leather in Los Angeles. I'm local and get all of my garment lamb/lambda/cowhide there, great selection and quality and some huge hides depending on the type. They primarily serve the garment and Hollywood makers so they focus on garment grade and chrome-tan material, not much in the way of veg-tan. Their website is so-so but if you call, any one of the three guys there can help and have been doing it long enough that they all have a good eye for filling requests. I usually stop in once every two weeks or so and can snap a pic of the selection if you're looking for something in particular.

Hidehouse in northern CA is another good one.

Thanks a lot!!! I'm gonna for sure check them out. I'm looking for lamb, chrome-tanned, THIN 0.9mm and lower. Would like to possibly at some point get some embossed leathers (croc) and perforated. If this is something Sav-Mor can help with I'm very interested in seeing what they have. I'm gonna stop check their website out and take the number down. Again thanks a lot!
