Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted December 19, 2012 Ambassador Report Posted December 19, 2012 This is my latest creation, I call it "The Cobra Under The Rainbow". It's made from garment Lambskin with Cobra side panels. The zipper has a real cool looking rainbow color to it. The inside is lined with pigskin suede, and it's all laced together with garment goatskin lace except for the white lace on the strap which is cowhide suede. It was a bit tricky getting the zipper laced in rather than sewing, but once I figured it out, I now know it can be done quite easily. Thanks for looking. Quote

Members chancey77 Posted December 19, 2012 Members Report Posted December 19, 2012 I have been wondering if a person could lace in a zipper! COOL SHAPE!!!!! Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted December 20, 2012 Author Ambassador Report Posted December 20, 2012 Thanks guys for the compliments, they are appreciated. chancey, it took a bit of thinking, but once I figured it out, it was pretty simple to lace the zipper in. You just have to be sure to buy a zipper with as wide as possible fabric section. The liner and the outer shell are glued to the zipper, then laced all together prior to doing any other construction. Members Aurelie Posted December 27, 2012 Members Report Posted December 27, 2012 :D Héhéhé ! interesting one! i bet that it was tricky to lace the zipper but really really looks good! congrats Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted December 27, 2012 Author Ambassador Report Posted December 27, 2012 Thanks Aurelie, yes the zipper took a bit to figure out, but once I did, it was quite easy to actually do. It's attached very well, and there should be no problems with it, could be stronger than if it were sewn in with a machine. Quote
