Members SMSRods Posted January 26, 2013 Members Report Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) Hello All, I am looking for a ball of hand sewing wax. Preferably made from rosin, pitch and beeswax. Can't seem to find a source anywhere. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Scott Sheets smsrods@gmail.com Edited January 26, 2013 by SMSRods

Members SMSRods Posted January 27, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 27, 2013 I'm having a hard time finding the pine pitch. The rosin and beeswax are no problem...
Members Matt S Posted January 27, 2013 Members Report Posted January 27, 2013 Pine pitch is a problem. I understand all production is now in China and is not the same. I use just wax and rosin for general sewing. I don't yet do shoes or histotical items so this does me.

electrathon Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 How it has been explained to me is that rosin is cooked pitch. If you have pitch you need to cook it so that it turns into rosin. Once you have rosin you mix it with the wax. So you do not need both pitch and rosin, they are basicly the same.
