Just wanted some thoughts on the Goods Japan tools. Anyone use them? Compared to Tandy, are they a decent starting point? I'm just looking for some decent tools that will last me a while and that don't break the bank. So far I've liked what I've found on their site, just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the tools?

Thank you. I think I will try them as the prices are good and they offer a good selection as well.

I have bought a number of tools from them. Every word I have to say about them is good. All of the tools I have bought far excede Tandy quality.

Thanks so much! So happy to hear that this is the case. I have to order online anyway so even if I have to wait an extra couple of days, I'm happy to know that the wait will be worth it!

You will need to be patient, it will be a little more than a few days. The gentleman who owns GoodsJapan is knowledgeable and sends what you order.

Good tools from him. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Good to know. And I know, I meant more than the week or so it takes Tandy to ship something. And I can wait... I have stamping tools to practice with for now.

I ordered some of the Craft Sha diamond chisels and I'm pretty happy with them. They definitely seem to be better quality than what Tandy carries. I'm currently waiting on a cocobolo burnisher that I recently ordered. I'm also a big fan of the instructional books that they carry, though I wish I could read Japanese.
