fivewayswelshcobs Report post Posted March 6, 2013 I would use harness leather but I would buy a harness back not a butt because most butts are only 60 inches long and many harness straps need the extra length that a back gives. Harness reins are traditionally made from brown leather with no edge stain as the black in the past would shed dye so staining the coachmans/drivers gloves.
