chancey77 Report post Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) So my friend Timo has had this project for a while, and it was completely full of cancer and nothing but a shell and a dream of what it once was. Well..........DREAM ON DUDE!!!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! With A LOT of elbow grease and some serious know how DIY Finland style, these guys have resurrected what most people would think is impossible! They dropped in a blown 292-Y block and all new everything! Most of the parts have been made from scratch! Including the wicked cool steering arm you see here in front of the drivers door. It will have a cover eventually, but this is just as it stands today. As of now this car has a new frame, Floor and lower metal all the way around this 29 Dodge Brothers car. The lower half was completely GONE!!!!!! Sitting in a yard eatin by time and neglect; leave it up to the bad ass Finns to fix something this awesome from near death. So obviously the lower metal of the hood was completely gone and adding full out wild psychobilly pipes sticking out , well.....it was pretty pointless to even try to make some side panels that will work...so thats where ole' Chancey steps in! I hooked him up with some real slick hood straps. Custom machined brass parts for the clips and all brass hardware to match the other brass parts Timo has machined. Well, here is the end result, for my part anyhow:) the guys have a ways to go including finishing the metal work and paint, but I can see this rockabilly wreck is going to live and raise some more hell before it is all over with VERY SOON!!!!! NEVER SAY DIE!!!!!!!! If you have some old wrecked up hunks of metal that used to be wicked gangster cars or street rods the people from Finland can teach us all a thing or 2 about never giving up! **********MORE PICS*********** Edited April 15, 2013 by chancey77

raysouth Report post Posted April 15, 2013 OUTSTANDING. Sme year as my 29 Fargo and if you look at the picture you will see many similarities as they were both products of those great Dodge Brothers. I claim them as kin, somewhat. I know you will be happy to cruz in the buggy whenever time permits. Great workmanship is apparent and the straps look super. Wish I could work on mine again but those days are long gone. Mine has 318 coupled to 727 automatic. Greatest ride I have ever had and now time to say goodbye to all the fun. Great memories. Hope you post more when it is road ready. Exciting to watch it happen. God Bless. Ray

Ray That Fargo is one heck of a ride! I would love to see more pictures of that car! can you email me some pictures? chancey77@gmail.com I have worked and built manny cars and bikes and I have some favorites and anything with a 318 and 727 is gold in my book! You made a great decision with that! Sad to hear about your story and not being able to enjoy the greasy side of cars anymore. My dad has had enough as well! Won't turn a wrench on anything these days either. But hey that is what retirement is all about right:) I'll be sure to post up some more pics as it is time for the road. Lets see how long it takes for the paint to get put on but they will be driving it this year. Biggest problem is all those old registration papers where cardboard, and this car has no papers and he is going to have a heck of a time making it legal here in Finland. The car has not been actually on the road since the 1950s. This isn't Florida! Finland is real tuff on cars! I hope it gets to see some real road time and not just a trailer to the shows! SNED ME PICS OF THAT FARGO! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE:) Thanks Ray and EVERYONE for looking!
