Help With Singer 211G151 ... Will It Work?

Will the Singer 211g151 sew 8 to 9 oz. Veg tan reliably using 277 or 346 thread? I will sometimes double up the leather on my holsters as well.

You'll be real lucky to use #207 on it.138 will work better.

If you must use your Singer 211 to sew holsters, restrict it to #138 thread and either sew through the same holes twice, or add a parallel row of stitches about 1/8 or 3/16 inch away. Tie off/overlap/backtack at the bottom outside row.

I decided to " Buy once ... cry once" and I ended up ordering a Tippmann Boss. I had the opportunity to try one out at a local tack repair shop before I ordered mine. I think that the mobility and versatility of the Boss was the answer for me.
