ArtS Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 I just finished this tonight as a gift for my brother in law. I'll try to get by his place tomorrow to put it on his Harley and take another picture. I already wet molded this on the bike before I tooled and finished it. I hope it works out. ArtS Quote

MADMAX22 Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Very good looking indeed. That is a really neat looking clasp on the front. WHat kind is it. Quote
Members TroyS Posted September 4, 2008 Members Report Posted September 4, 2008 Wow Art! That looks awesome! I really like the concept. I wet-formed a bib a while back, but had no pockets or anything. Just a straight bib with some carving! I may try something like this in the near future. Who woulda figured? Leather Artist AND Presidential Candidate! Quote

ArtS Posted September 5, 2008 Author Report Posted September 5, 2008 I accidentally removed the pictures from my post. I was working on my board settings. Here they are again. ArtS Quote
ArtS Posted September 6, 2008 Author Report Posted September 6, 2008 It's a Baby Claw Clasp I forget where I bought them at. I do know I got them online about a year or so ago. I do know that Ohio Travel Bag has them on page 24 but that's not where I bought mine. ArtS Quote

Members MatthewD Posted October 13, 2008 Members Report Posted October 13, 2008 I have to ask this but how do you get it to stay on the bike? Quote
tashabear Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 That's really hot, Art. Looks amazing on the bike! I have a tank that I rashed up from my Vulcan 500 -- I'm thinking of doing some experimentation on it with leather, and of course making a tank bib pattern. Quote
TomSwede Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Wow Art! That is a cool tank bib. Love the rivets and the nice pouch with the claw clasp. You've done it again! Tom Quote
tashabear Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 I have to ask this but how do you get it to stay on the bike? I was wondering the same thing -- it looks like there are holes at the points of the bib for thongs or strings to tie it to the frame. Or we can go with my smart ass answer, which is contact cement. :-D Quote
Bree Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Art... Looks fabulous! Can I see a PIC of the back? Quote
ArtS Posted October 13, 2008 Author Report Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) Thanks yawl. Yes it is tied to the frame at the front and the back with leather through the holes. I teased my brother in law that I had glued it on. LOL scared him to death. Here is a shot of the back side. I glued suede leather on the back side. So far it's worked out well.
